So!
Not a lot has happened since my last update...which is probably not true. On Thursday I had a job interview with Macy's online. It was...Well. It was completely ridiculous. The woman told me that she could offer me a job, but told me that they have a dress code. I was apparently not dressed up enough (I actually did give some thought to what I was wearing before I left to go to the interview) and she informed me that they're all about expression and blah blah blah, but I can't get any more tattoos or piercings if I want to work there. I was greatly offended. GREATLY. ...and no, I don't plan on getting either of those any time soon, but really? I think that it's positively ridiculous that they would say something like that. I'm irritated. Also, she requested that I "tone down" my hair. My hair has no affect on my job performance. So, I accepted the position, which is supposed to start on September 7. I hope to find something different before then.
I'm trying to think about whether or not I have done anything else in the city. OH! I was nearly assaulted (or so I supposed...it was like defensive driving, supposing that everyone else in the world is an idiot and out to get you, but just defensive living). On Friday night, I went to a place called UDF (apparently that's short for U Dumb Fuckers hahahahahha) to get some pop (surprised?) and on my way inside the building after I got back, a creepy dude tried to follow me in. No one else lives in this building. ...I was creeped out...praise Krishna I have my knife...I locked the doors and waited for the roommate to come home. Which he did, eventually...and nothing bad happened. A SD friend suggested that I carry mace or a gun. A gun? Rriiiiiiiigggghhhhhtttttt. No, thank you. I mean, shooting is fun, but I'd rather shank a bitch.
I would like to take a moment of my time to say how sad I am that i did not discover Indian food until recently. Whoa my gosh, and oh my lady gaga. It is delicious.
Last night (Saturday night) I went to a movie. Joel had a bachelor party to go to in Indiana, so I dropped him off (since he would be drinking...duh) and went to Kentucky to a movie theater. It was a really cool theater. ...also, I had to be a grown-up and find parking. It wouldn't have been too bad if I could read signs to follow where I needed to go. When I got to the mall, I got on an elevator, which was dumb because the elevator immediately inside only directed to the parking garage, which I didn't know existed and would have saved me some walking, but it was cool. The mall itself was kind of boring, but when I got to the ticket booth on the first level, I bought my ticket. I went to see Scott Pilgrim vs the World. I got carded. That movie is PG-13. I told another movie patron that I had gotten carded, and she had stated that everyone gets carded for movies after 9, and I asked if she had been carded. She stated that she had not. WHY DO PEOPLE F-ING CARD ME AT MOVIES?! Anyway, I saw Scott Pilgrim and it was an epic movie. I would definitely see it again.
I really would like to get some pictures up, so I am going to make that a priority and work on that...
